Program Description

Fast-track your way to a cyber security career Start working in cyber security in as little as 16 months! Build your skillset through hands-on experiences that prepare you for entry-level employment without having to complete high-level math courses. As the first public cyber security diploma in Canada, this program can also be your springboard towards future cyber security education or industry certifications. Operate, Maintain, Protect, Defend Sheridan's Computer Systems Technician – Cyber Security diploma develops two of the four specific skillsets within the Canadian Cyber Security Skills Framework: Operate & Maintain, and Protect & Defend. You'll learn fundamentals of operating systems, Python programming, cloud security, data communications, web/application security, tools used for cyber defence and penetration testing, and more. Applied learning that fits your schedule Multiple intakes, course-based registration and a mix of in-person, hybrid and online delivery allows you to learn at your own pace and build a schedule that fits your life. Active industry professionals will guide you through a blend of lectures, case studies and group discussions. You'll also work with the latest technology in a cyber range that simulates a security operation centre (SOC).
