Sheridan College is a leading diploma and degree-granting institution in Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1967, Sheridan is home to more than 23,000 full-time students and 16,950 continuing education students from more than 110 countries over its three Ontario city campuses – Oakville, Brampton, and Mississauga. Often dubbed as the ‘Harvard of Animation’ or ‘Disney North’, Sheridan’s graduates include Academy and Emmy Award winners in the fields of animation and creative arts. Sheridan boasts of being the first undergraduate college to offer a creative campus, designed to stimulate innovative and creative skills of its students through creative collaboration across faculties, practical and experiential learning among other hallmarks. The college offers more than 120 programs across five faculties including 26-degree programs. It offers more than 500 continuing and professional studies programs. Students can choose from a wide range of programs including certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, and bachelor’s degrees catering to their needs and also join a community of professors with industry expertise. Animation and Game Design, Journalism, Applied Computing, Community studies are some of the most popular subjects of Sheridan College. Sheridan college’s world-renowned programs and exceptional faculty has placed the college at the front lines of research from creative studies to digital innovation. 1908 students and over 150 faculty and staff of Sheridan are involved in active research. The college has 234 tracked active research projects. Sheridan has 5 unique research centers dedicated to music theatre, elder research, advanced manufacturing, and design technologies, mobile innovation and screen industries research, and an entrepreneurship hub promoting exceptional research activities with more than 400 industry partners.
