Program Description

Public health impacts on all our lives and, as recent events have demonstrated, is a vital component in creating and maintaining good health. As recent world events have shown, it is more important now than ever before to take care of people on an individual and societal level. Underpinned by the desire to ensure access to good health is equitable, this course will look at public health as an aspect of social justice. The BSc Public Health degree at Bath Spa University will equip graduates with the critical thinking skills and an interdisciplinary approach to public health interventions that will enable them to become Public Health professionals. It will prepare students to develop the necessary skills and competency to initiate, design, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate relevant public health programmes. At Bath Spa we pride ourselves in the ability to equip our students with the ability to apply their learning to real world events. Students on this course will be able to take the theory and policy learnt and apply it to a variety of public health situations upon graduation.
