Program Description
The Lambton Institute of English is operated by Lambton College, a public, not-for-profit Ontario post-secondary institution that provides high quality academic training in English as a Second Language (ESL) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP). This Board of Governors certificate program is designed for full-time students who need to improve their English language skills for post-secondary study. The program is divided into two categories. English as a Second Language (ESL) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP). The former focuses on establishing a strong foundation in the four skills of speaking, reading, writing and listening in levels elementary and intermediate. The latter focuses on using these four skills for academic purposes.
