Program Description

Humber’s Inclusive Resource Practice - Child and Family graduate certificate is the only program of its kind in Ontario, offering students a unique opportunity to pursue a range of exciting and challenging careers working with children and young adults with diverse abilities/special needs/disabilities. This program prepares you to collaborate with a community of professionals, individuals and families to navigate a range of services in order to support inclusion. Students will advance their knowledge and expertise in the field of inclusion and develop an inclusive philosophy that they can apply in a variety of employment situations. Through our practical, skill-based curriculum, you will develop many valuable skills including how to: apply the principles of person-centred practice,engage in responsive inclusive planning,navigate systems for continuity of service,implement a variety of tools and techniques that support holistic development,transfer inclusive practice knowledge to community partners.
