If you’re looking to turn your creative and communication skills into an exciting career, the Broadcasting – Radio program will help you tune into your full potential. Radio courses Through our radio courses, you’ll be trained in this highly concentrated, hands-on program for careers in radio broadcasting and emerging broadcast media. In collaboration with Journalism - Broadcast students, you'll program and operate three radio stations: The Falcon, CFRL Radio, and CIXXFM 106.9 The X — Canada's first fully licensed teaching radio station equipped with the latest digital communications and production technology. Learn about on-air performance, creative writing, content creation, audio production, sales and marketing, broadcast administration, web content development, promotions and programming. You’ll also learn in a live environment while performing on-air and behind-the-scenes job functions identical to those in the digital media and broadcast industry. Western University articulation agreement Fanshawe College and Western University have developed an articulation agreement to allow qualified students to obtain both a two-year Broadcasting – Radio diploma and a four-year Bachelor of Arts honours degree with a major in Media, Information and Technoculture (MIT). Students who meet the requirements of the agreement can apply to transfer directly into the third year of the MIT program, and complete both credentials in four years.
