Program Description

Develop technical knowledge of construction management in areas such as construction methods, materials, cost estimation, scheduling, quality control and interpreting and evaluating construction digital plans Integrate cutting-edge technology with modern practices in construction management such as 3D modelling, Building Information Modeling (BIM) and construction management software, such as Autodesk Use advanced technology such as automation and AI to improve efficiency and reduce errors and cost Apply cost estimation, budget, and schedule management practices to streamline critical path of construction projects Utilize basic estimating techniques and cost estimation software, and integrate logistics with scheduling and resource management to enhance project efficiency Program Benefits: Follow the flow of a construction building cycle through practical assignments in the program Participate in experiential learning opportunities, including case studies and evaluating digital plans Develop technical skills through an integrated project that threads throughout the certificate Work on a construction practicum and choose one of three streams as a focus: Contract Administration, Construction Estimation, and Construction Project Coordination.
