Program Description
Anthropology is an interdisciplinary field that enables students to learn about the cultural and biological diversity of humans. Focusing on medical, applied, visual and environmental anthropology, our Anthropology program is one of the only ones in Canada where the full-time professors are members of First Nations. The program includes courses on ethnomedicine and cross-cultural healing practices, public health and epidemiology, food choices and disease prevention, theories of material culture, visual ethnography, anthropology of the arts, Indigenous photography and decolonization.

Study and Work in Canada
Full-time undergraduate and post-graduate international students can work anywhere on or off campus without a work permit. The rules around the number of hours a student will be allowed to work may vary based on the country the student chooses to study in. International students are typically able to work up to 20 hours a week.
