Program Description
The Continuing Care Assistant program provides knowledge and skill development in helping people to help themselves in their homes and special care facilities. You will receive training in: gerontology, dementia management strategies, applying the philosophy of long term care into home care, special care and community settings, promoting independence in a safe environment, working with people from all cultures, working with individuals with different levels of physical and cognitive impairment, giving personal care, and attending to psychosocial needs. The full-time program will allow you to complete all theory and clinical experiences. If you would like to PLAR your clinical experiences, please consider the part-time program.

Full-time undergraduate and post-graduate international students can work anywhere on or off campus without a work permit.
