Program Description

At TWU, the political studies program embraces both the social science and humanities aspects of political analysis, giving students a stronger depth in their studies. Throughout each student’s education, they not only receive an understanding about political science but also discover their rights and responsibilities as citizens and Christians. The department of geography, history, and political and international studies offers students an honours program and major in political studies which both lead to Bachelor of Arts degrees and a minor and concentration in political studies. In political studies, students explore how governments are organized and how they influence the amount and distribution of social and economic resources. In addition, students develop an understanding of government institutions, legislative processes, foreign policy, international relations, and public law.
