Complete first-year engineering at VCC and apply for admission into second-year degree programs at the University of British Columbia (UBC). What you will learn A graduate with a University Transfer Engineering Certificate has reliably demonstrated to a first year university level the ability to: Incorporate critical thinking into theoretical reasoning and decision making. Demonstrate teamwork by working collaboratively in laboratory activities. Demonstrate information literacy abilities to determine the nature and extent of information required. Apply the appropriate presentation style to produce clear and accurate written, verbal, and visual communication for clients and other professionals. Utilize accepted research process and abilities in all professional enquiries, communications, and scholarship. Demonstrate the scientific and quantitative methodology as well as the analytical skills for entrance into second year science courses. Demonstrate problem-solving in physics, chemistry, math and computer programming.
