Program Description
On our BA (Hons) Interior Architecture degree course at UCA Canterbury, you'll focus on the interface between the existing and proposed elements of a design, and how construction detailing, technical services and interior spatial experience interrelate. Interior architecture and interior design are two closely linked disciplines with significant overlap in terms of skills and design processes. On this course you'll learn through progressive briefs that engage with real-world challenges, through research, and through design as your primary means of inquiry. With access to our cutting-edge facilities, including 3D workshops and full-equipped computer studios, you'll be given the freedom and confidence to speculate, and become aware of your social responsibility as a designer of the built environment. You’ll also benefit from interaction with industry through live project opportunities and masterclasses, helping you build industry-relevant skills that ensure you graduate ready for the workplace By the end of the course, you'll be a socially responsible, confident, innovative, and entrepreneurial graduate who has the knowledge, skills, and abilities to play an active role in practice or postgraduate study.
