Program Description

Developed in response to the growing need for skilled graduates specialized in human resources, the Human Resources Management – Canadian Context graduate certificate program is specifically designed to prepare international students with the knowledge, skills and expertise required to understand human resources practices in Canada and to work within the Canadian industry. From recruitment and selection to training and development, a career in human resources (HR) requires a focus on both strategy and people. Skill, knowledge and ability in human resource planning, occupational health and safety, compensation, hiring, employee development, labour relations and managerial accounting enable HR professionals to contribute to business success in an increasingly competitive global marketplace while looking after the organization’s most important asset – its employees. Courses in this program immerse international students in a specialized learning environment that encourages them to think critically to solve complex problems by combining artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, online simulations, international case competitions, real-world case studies and interaction with industry professionals to support their future careers in the industry.
