Program Description

The Department of Philosophy is home to a group of professors whose research is recognized across Canada and beyond. Our members have published in some of the best journals in the field, have national and international reputations for their work, and have made contributions to important debates on a broad range of issues. We take our teaching work just as seriously as our research. For the M.A. program, students are required to complete courses, a Thesis, and a Thesis Oral Defence. Three to six graduate term courses or equivalent (9.0 to 18.0 credit hours) are required for this program. Students develop their programs in consultation with their supervisors.
