Program Description
The BSc Honours Psychology program at the University of Westminster is a full-time, three-year course aimed at individuals interested in studying the human mind and behavior. The course is structured around key areas of psychology, including cognitive, social, developmental and biological psychology, as well as research methods and statistical analysis. The program combines theoretical learning and practical applications, enabling students to understand both the science underpinning psychology and its practical usages in everyday life. The undergraduate degree also has an employability focus, providing students with skills necessary for both further study in psychology and a range of employment sectors. Throughout the degree program, students will have the opportunity to conduct independent research, enhancing their critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills. The program is accredited by the British Psychological Society, providing students with the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership, provided they achieve a minimum of a second-class honors degree. Students enrolled in this program will gain a strong understanding of psychological theories and concepts, backed by empirical evidence, which will help them to understand, interpret and predict human behavior in a variety of contexts.
