Program Description

The 128 credit hour Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education: Cross Categorical is designed for students who wish to become special education teachers in grades K-12. Candidates who complete this degree will also be certified at the elementary (grades 1-6) level. Teacher candidates in the program will learn the content knowledge, pedagogical skills, and professional attitudes and dispositions to be outstanding special education teachers (grades K-12) and elementary teachers (grades 1-6). Candidates will complete field-based assignments and placements to provide authentic experiences necessary for the profession.
