Program Description

We do safety and health. Our students learn to save lives and lead the way in promoting environmental safety at home and in the workplace. In this major, you'll learn to investigate health problems and hazards, enforce safety laws and regulations, monitor community health, and assess environmental efforts. Want to keep people, families and communities safer? Our holistic, interdisciplinary program puts you on a path to be a lifesaver. You'll gain a diverse and technical skill set in: Environmental health. Air quality control. Food protection. Hazardous materials. Water quality. You’ll learn how to monitor, diagnose and investigate health problems and hazards in communities. You'll develop the skills to evaluate the effectiveness and quality of environmental community services.
