Program Description

The Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation (EBI) Certificate is a ten-month program focused on developing occupational-specific skills along with the employability and leadership of students through technical courses. Students of this program will explore areas like human resources, finance, development, and strategic planning in order to become well-rounded employees and business leaders. The ability to be a leader in the workplace is highly sought after by employers and provides a crucial stepping stone to starting and running an independent business. Focusing on building transferable skills and foundational knowledge of a variety of areas is essential in understanding how businesses are grown and run, setting students up for success in a variety of industries. Students will also have the opportunity to explore and develop their own plan for a business as they learn what it takes to operationally run a company. Students will have the opportunity to apply and refine the skills they develop throughout the program in an unpaid work practicum experience at the end of the program. This hands-on experience will help students practice their skills in the workplace, connect them to potential future employers, and build real working experience before starting their careers.
