Program Description

The University of South Alabama offers a variety of graduate programs focused on marine and environmental sciences. The MS and Ph.D. degrees in marine sciences allow specializations in biological, chemical, physical and geological oceanography as well as marine fisheries and ecology. The Master of Sciences in Marine Conservation and Resource Management provides students with advanced training in natural resource management in coastal and marine settings. The Master of Science in Environmental Toxicology is an interdisciplinary program that is coordinated by the School of Marine and Environmental Sciences but draws on expertise from other disciplines to understand how toxins and/or pollutants affect the health of people, food-webs, and ecosystems. Like other programs in the School most students focus their studies on coastal and marine environments.
