Check My EligibilityThe Master of Data Science (MDS) program at New York Institute of Technology - Vancouver (New York Tech Vancouver) is designed to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in data science. Students will learn to apply data science concepts and methods to solve problems in business and scientific contexts and communicate these solutions effectively. They will also learn about computing theory, programming, and algorithms, and how to use mathematical and statistical models to formulate and implement data analyses while applying them ethically. The program offers an innovative, technology-oriented, and interdisciplinary curriculum taught by qualified and experienced faculty. • The MDS is a two-year program, but can be completed in less than two years. • Students have the opportunity to transfer between the New York and Vancouver campuses. • Financial aid is available to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada. • Career planning services are available on campus to all students. • Highly hands-on, practice oriented, case-based and interactive educational experience with varied and best pedagogical practices that support learning for all students. • International students are eligible to work off campus during their studies and can qualify for post-graduation work permits (up to three (3) years) after graduation. The program is ideally suited for students with backgrounds in computer science, engineering, management, information technology, mathematics, or related fields who wish to pursue an advanced career in the specific subspecialties of Data Science (data analytics, machine learning, visualization, and A.I.). This program is offered in two curriculum options: thesis-based and course-based.
