Program Description

The Faculty of Education at the University of Windsor is home to dedicated graduate students from around the world, who engage with faculty members to bring awareness to the changing and growing discipline of education. The Faculty of Education offers well established and growing graduate degree programs, including an international cohort MEd, a domestic MEd, and a PhD. The domestic MEd, which includes domestic and international students, offers a choice of three areas of specialization: Curriculum studies,Educational administration,Language acquisition, culture and society.With the knowledge obtained from each concentration, our students can incorporate many different approaches directly into their own classrooms, workplaces, and future scholarly endeavours.This course-based program will enable you to examine philosophical orientations, conceptual frameworks, and research methodologies relevant to the study of policy, leadership and the theoretical and development aspects of curriculum in a Canadian and international context. The program objectives will be accomplished through the completion of nine courses, followed by the capstone course, the Final Project Seminar. This graduate program will allow you to develop your skills and knowledge to enhance your professional practice.
