Program Description
Engineers are thinkers and builders who apply science and math to every aspect of modern life. They design and develop the products and processes that we use every day. Engineering is a solid career path leading to high-paying jobs and satisfying work. Students will learn how to make their mark in physical structures in the first-year Engineering Transfer (Applied Science) program. By starting one's studies with Selkirk, one will get a strong background in math and physics and a firm foundation for the degree’s remaining three years. Students can complete their first year science, math, and engineering requirements with Selkirk, as well as take any prep courses if they don’t already have the necessary prerequisites. Successful completion of this certificate program allows them to transfer their credits towards an engineering degree at UBC, UBC Okanagan, SFU, UVic, or the University of Alberta. Most of Selkirk's first-year engineering courses transfer to universities across Canada.
