Program Description
The Criminology and Political Studies combined program allows students to train in both criminology and political science. Through criminology, students will examine criminal activity, legal issues, policing, regulation, the criminal justice system, and security as major factors in society. Combined with political science, students study power – who holds it, how it is exercised, how you can influence and gain access to power, and how our lives are influenced by politicians, bureaucrats, and other politically important institutions (including the courts, the Constitutions, domestic and international organizations, etc.) and individuals. These programs combined will help students understand human social behaviour and the ways in which it influences policy development.
