Check My EligibilityMedieval and Medievalism Studies analyzes and applies cultural materials from the global Middle Ages (c. AD 500-1500) and the representation of the medieval world in later periods, including our own. These materials include myths, philosophy, theology, combat, fine arts, literature, history, politics, music, economics and architecture. Our emphasis on medievalism makes Laurier’s program unique in North America. Movies, video games and theme parks are integrated into our course content to depict later representations of the Middle Ages. As you progress in the program, you can tailor your study of the Middle Ages and its cultural legacy to a literary, cultural or historical focus and prepare for diverse career opportunities, ranging from preserving the past to bringing it to life in the modern world.
