Program Description

Our Film Production course will provide you with the mix of technical, production and business skills you will need to work in the creative industries. You’ll use a range of digital cameras including Canon, Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro and the Arri Alexa Mini LF (used in the BAFTA best British winning film, 1917). Other equipment includes the Steadicam, Sound Devices Mix Pre-3 recorders and a range of lighting. Post-production facilities include AVID Media Composer. You’ll also have access to Pro-Tools and the full Adobe Creative Suite and we also work with DaVinci Resolve for colour grading. Regular visits from working professionals will enrich your studies and offer up-to-the-minute insights into the industry. We have guest speakers from: British Film Institute (BFI), Molinare post-production house, BBC, ITV, Kent Film Office, Netflix documentary filmmakers, freelance CCCU alumni filmmakers and screenwriters, foley artists and 'Festival Formula'.
