Program Description

Religious studies as a discipline focuses on developing knowledge of the great religious traditions of the world, including the varied influence religions have had on the diverse social and cultural phenomena we encounter in the world around us.Hartwick’s religious studies curriculum covers three general areas: the Judeo-Christian Western tradition, traditions of the Asian world (Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Confucianism, Shinto, and others), and contemporary religious expression in the West.
