Program Description

Statistics is the mathematical science of data and consists of statistical principles and methods for collecting data, organizing data and analyzing data to make statistical decisions in practical situations involving uncertainty. Statistics is an effective way to understand real-world problems. The work of a statistician is inherently multidisciplinary, working with researchers in many disciplines on important problems in the natural, physical, medical and social sciences. The Bachelor of Science - Statistics program offers a number of different program options, ranging anywhere from 3-5 years in length with the option to complete co-operative education. All Co-operative Education Options require participating students to complete at least three (3) 4-month co-op work terms for a total of a minimum of 12 months’ work experience.
