Check My EligibilityReceive two degrees in five years as you combine your studies in music education from K-12. Choose to become a music specialist in the classroom by combining your love of music and teaching with either the highly specialized BMus focusing on performance, history, theory and conducting or a BA, with broader studies in science, social sciences and humanities and your drama major. Students are provided with thorough training on their chosen instrument are strengthened by a carefully integrated stream of courses in music theory, history, literature and ear training, as well as participation in performing ensembles. As an Education major students develops a strong knowledge base in the subject area they intend to teach. They also receive in-depth preparation in how to teach, including both general and subject area instructional methods.
