Program Description

Become a Registered Massage Therapist by learning and practicing the various theories and techniques of relaxation or rehabilitation. Program Highlights: Professors are recognized industry leaders. Outreach opportunities include, but are not limited to: athletics, prenatal, chronic pain, active aging, hospice, neurological disorders What You'll Learn: Gain the knowledge and practical skills required to complete certification examinations, administered by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) to become a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). Practice alternative health strategies. Study an evidence-based curriculum that supports an interprofessional health care approach that maximizes patient outcomes. Examine the anatomy, physiology and common pathologies of the human body. Develop critical thinking skills to prepare and implement treatment plans. Acquire the ethical and professional behaviours associated with becoming a Regulated Health Care Professional.
