Program Description

Take the spotlight, tread the boards and break the fourth wall on our exciting industry-linked BA (Hons) Acting & Performance degree at UCA Farnham. Our conservatoire-style degree gives you the in-depth vocational training you’ll need to thrive on screen, on stage and in digital media, with rigorous, practical learning and collaborations with a wide range of industry partners, including the National Theatre and the British Film Institute. It’s also recognised by both Spotlight and Equity UK as a graduate course. You’ll participate in workshops specialising in voice, movement, text and character, and as this course is production focused, you’ll be cast in both live and recorded performances as well as devising your own work. Professional development is at the heart of this course, and you’ll be supported in producing a portfolio including headshots, a voice reel, showreel and website. You’ll use our state-of-the-art facilities including recording, motion capture and virtual production studios, while our partnerships with Farnham Maltings and other venues will provide you with further opportunities to learn and showcase your work in professional performance environments. Upon completion of your degree, you can also audition for the new UCA Graduate Company.
