Program Description

Literature speaks for the diversity of human experience. In studying English Literature, you will encounter the immense range of that experience as expressed across many historic periods and cultures, from Anglo-Saxon oral tradition through to contemporary writing in English from around the world. Provides the opportunity to expand and refine critical skills and cultural awareness, oral and written communication, and knowledge of critical inquiry,Includes courses in British, Canadian, American and world literatures in English as well as composition, rhetoric, and textual/ cultural studies,Teaches analytical and critical-thinking skills,Provides experience in research, creative writing, digital editing and publishing, and teaching.
