The BA in Music is designed for those captivated by music and its role in social and cultural life. With its focus on academic study and the development of creative and critical-thinking skills, this four-year program provides excellent preparation for careers and graduate studies in music theory or music history and a range of careers in areas outside of music. The BA in Music also includes classes for students who wish to pursue advanced, contemporary music making, including popular and electronic music and music technology. You can develop composition and performance skills that reflect the diversity and richness of these practices, challenge yourself to be a creative and reflective musician, and prepare yourself for a career in the rapidly evolving music industry.
