Program Description

As a neuroscientist you will come to understand the the entire nervous system and the impact of malfunction and diseases impact on system and behavior, from an interdisciplinary standpoint. Students receive a broad overview of the field followed by more specialized training in either Cellular and Molecular Biology or Clinical Health. Neuroscience is a rapidly growing field with the Bureau of Labor Statistics indicating that job growth will be much faster than average for other occupations. The training you receive at CMU will provide you with multiple different paths towards your career in neuroscience. The Clinical Health Neuroscience concentration prepares students to pursue post-graduate careers in psychology or health professions.
