Program Description
This course is the place to set the foundation for your future in the rapidly changing world of Criminology and Criminal Justice. Here you will explore the cause and consequences of crime, deviance, control and justice. Make your mark with the professional skills that matter most to employers. On our BA Criminology and Criminal Justice course, our priority is ensuring that you graduate with a professional skillset. This incorporates; Developing a critical understanding of how the criminal justice system operates and the debates surrounding the relationship between punishment, rehabilitation and crime prevention. Becoming an independent, critical thinker, with the skills to analyse official and popular conceptions of crime. The construction of social research and subsequent analysis of results - the skills required to challenge current key ethical, political and moral questions about crime and justice.
