Program Description
The BA Honours Criminology program at the University of Westminster is a full-time undergraduate degree that provides a comprehensive understanding of crime, victimization and responses to crime within society. The program combines the study of criminological theory with the study of social science disciplines, complementing academic learning with real-world application. The program is structured in progressive stages, with students first learning the basics of criminology, then advancing to explore various aspects of crime, criminal behaviour, and the criminal justice system. Emphasis is also given on research methods, empowering students to conduct their own research in criminology. Furthermore, the course allows students to get involved in debates, learn from real-life criminologists, and gain first-hand insight into the justice system. Students also have the opportunity to gain work experience and even study abroad to broaden their perspective and skills.
