Program Description

BSc (Hons) Environmental Science program at the University of Portsmouth is an undergraduate course that equips students with an in-depth understanding of our environment, both natural and built, and its relationship to society. This course aims to provide students with knowledge and practical skills related to assessment, interpretation, management, and sustainability of the environment. Topics covered in the program include geography, biology, chemistry, and earth sciences. Students will get a chance to participate in extensive fieldwork and laboratory work, simulating real-world environmental crises and learning how to resolve them. There's also a focus on placement opportunities, providing real-world experiences that can enhance job prospects after graduation. The program is recognized by the Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES) and the Committee of Heads of Environmental Sciences (CHES).
