Berlin International College (BIC) was founded in May 2012 by Dr. Christian Berthold and Ms. Hilka Leicht. Our mission has always been to open up the German higher education sector (i.e. University education) to all international students. We are thriving in our mission: Many students have successfully graduated with us and have subsequently started their university studies. In our early stages, we provided short preparation programs, combined with external language classes, and longer preparation programs including subject courses, called Studienkolleg. We focused on preparation programs for engineering and IT at the time. Quickly, we broadened our program portfolio and amongst others included a preparation program for business studies. We also started teaching our own intensive German language courses for levels A1 – C1. Over the years we grew our programs and variations further and started offering English preparation programs, for technical as well as for business study areas. At the same time, our group of partner universities grew. Today, we can offer students a big array of programs and universities. With every year of work, we continue to grow, and gather more experience and competence in the field of preparation programs. Our student feedback and surveys show that our alumni are successful in their studies and subsequent jobs, a fact that we are specifically proud of. Furthermore, our alumni continue to provide our new students with helpful insight and support. We welcome all students from all countries, cultures, and ethnicities.
